A day with Martial Blin — when Shah Darya meets the Mediterranean
There are workdays that don’t really feel like workdays. The one Jérôme and I spent in Fréjus, on the French Riviera, with Martial Blin, was definitely one of them.
Martial Blin — an authentic look at gastronomy
Martial is a culinary influencer on TikTok and Instagram — a passionate content creator with a sharp eye for fine products and beautiful plating. When we discussed a shoot featuring Shah Darya caviar, the enthusiasm was immediate. And frankly, from the very first minutes spent with him, you understand why his content is so engaging: he is curious, spontaneous, and genuinely in love with what he does.
Two videos, two pairings, two emotions
The shoot took place on a terrace with a breathtaking view, under a cloudless blue sky and the kind of Mediterranean light that only the South can offer. The perfect setting to showcase two of our finest selections.
First, the Kaluga Signature — paired with a red mullet dish. The firm, briny flesh of the fish in dialogue with the aromatic depth of the Kaluga, its persistent marine notes, and that lingering finish that stays with you. A natural, generous, and sun-drenched pairing.
Then the Iranian Beluga — on scallops. The pearly sweetness of the shellfish and its silky texture meet the buttery, long-lasting complexity of the Iranian Beluga. A pairing of rare elegance, almost delicate, that demands to be savored slowly.

After the shoot — a memorable day
Once the cameras were put away, the day took on a whole different feel. Martial is truly likable, down-to-earth, warm, and passionate. The conversation flowed naturally as we talked about gastronomy and future projects, enjoying the Fréjus sun with that lightness typical of beautiful days in the South.
Those moments, between work and pleasure, are often the most precious. They remind us why we do what we do.
