We often tend to save caviar for special occasions: dressed-up dinners, Michelin-starred tables, evenings planned well in advance. As if this exceptional product needed a formal setting to truly shine. As if you had to earn luxury before allowing yourself to enjoy it.
This Monday, February 24, 2026, Morgane and I decided to tell a different story.
Ordino Arcalís — an unexpected playground
The slopes of Ordino Arcalís, high up in Andorra, are among the most beautiful in the region. That day, the mountain was at its most generous: bright sunshine, light bouncing off the snow with an almost unreal intensity, and mild temperatures—the kind that make you set your skis aside for a moment, find a deck chair, and not move again.
That’s exactly what we did.
In front of us: lively slopes, the immaculate white of the peaks, a sky of uncompromising blue. Behind us: the distant hum of a mountain alive. And in our hands—a small case of Iranian Beluga.
No champagne. No blinis. No elaborate staging. Just caviar, snow, sunshine, and the two of us.



A luxury we treated ourselves to, simply
We’d thought about this moment in advance—not as an event, but as a gift: the kind you give yourself and the other person when you know certain moments deserve to be marked with a white stone. Or a golden one, in this case.
Iranian Beluga enjoyed plain, directly on the skin of the hand, in the pure mountain air—an experience we hadn’t planned in our founders’ logbook. And yet, it’s one of the most beautiful we’ve had since the start of the Shah Prestige adventure.
There’s something almost dizzying about the contrast: the mountain’s kindly ruggedness, the snow, skis set down beside us, down jackets—and those silky, nuanced grey pearls of absolute delicacy, melting slowly and unfolding their buttery, lingering notes on the palate. Luxury doesn’t feel out of place. It’s simply there, where it belongs, in a moment that’s as much its own as it is ours.
Caviar doesn’t need a dining room
